Unstable weather will cover Ukraine: weather forecasters gave a forecast

The weather in Ukraine will remain changeable in the coming days. Forecasters warn of alternating heat, short-term rains and thunderstorms, and in some places – squalls and hail.

According to hydrometeorological centers, thunderstorms are expected in many regions of the country on May 22. Strong gusts of wind and hail are possible in places in the central and southern regions. It will be calmest in the west, where precipitation is less likely.

The air temperature will remain high in summer: during the day up to +25…+30 degrees, in the western regions it will be a little cooler – up to +23. At night it will be from +9 to +17 degrees.

Forecasters explain this instability by changes in air masses. After a period of heat, fresher air from the Baltic begins to flow into Ukraine, gradually displacing warm currents.

The weather will start to change starting from May 23. Rains will shift to the east and south, and precipitation will become less frequent in other regions. The temperature will slowly start to drop by a few degrees.

Further changes in the atmosphere are expected over the weekend: there will be brief rain in places, but more sun will appear. At the same time, the heat will gradually recede, and the air will become noticeably fresher.

Forecasters add that at the beginning of next week, the temperature drop may continue by another 3–5 degrees, although a severe cold snap is not currently predicted.
