US and Iran agree to extend ceasefire for another 60 days – media

Iran and the United States have agreed to extend a 60-day ceasefire. However, there is no official confirmation of the agreement yet.

According to media reports, the parties have agreed to extend the ceasefire for another 60 days. The memorandum of understanding, which Washington and Tehran signed in June, expires on August 17.

Shortly before the Al Arabiya information appeared, US President Donald Trump stated that Washington’s position on the Iranian nuclear program remains unchanged.

According to him, the main goal of the United States was and remains to prevent the emergence of nuclear weapons in Iran.

So far, the US and Iran have not officially announced an extension of the ceasefire.
