The United States Air Force has attacked Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, including its most secure facility at Fordow.

US President Donald Trump announced this on the Truth Social social network.

“We have successfully completed the attack on three nuclear sites in Iran – Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. All aircraft are outside Iranian airspace. The main site, Fordow, was dropped with all the bombs. All crews are returning home safely,” he said.

The Wall Street Journal reported, citing three Iranian officials, that the strike took place at around 2:30 a.m. local time.

The main site is Fordow, Iran’s most secure nuclear complex, located deep underground. The attack on Fordow was carried out by B-2 strategic bombers, likely using special munitions capable of penetrating that type of fortification, a U.S. defense official said.

According to Fox News , the US dropped six GBU-57 bombs on the Fordow nuclear facility. Thirty Tomahawk missiles were also launched from Ohio-class submarines at nuclear facilities in Natan and Isfahan.

As is known, on June 13, Israel launched a large-scale air strike on Iranian territory . The targets were objects related to the Iranian nuclear program.

More than 70 people, including at least 20 high-ranking military officials, were killed in an air strike on Tehran.

By the way, Iran called negotiations with the US “pointless” after Israel’s missile strikes on its nuclear facilities.
