Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth announced that the United States has redeployed certain counter-drone equipment from Ukraine to the Middle East, reflecting shifting strategic priorities in the region.
He said this on Fox News.
“I have been on Capitol Hill all week for hearings, and I was asked one question: ‘Have you moved some of your counter-drone assets from Ukraine to the Middle East?’ To which I replied, ‘Yes, we have,’” Hegseth confirmed.
Earlier, Pete Hegseth stated that the new United States defense budget for 2026 provides for a reduction in funding for military support to Ukraine.
As it later became known, on June 13, the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress approved its version of the defense spending bill for fiscal year 2026, which does not provide for assistance to Ukraine.
