The United States of America has resumed supplies of 155 mm artillery shells and GMLRS precision-guided rockets to Ukraine, which were suspended the day before.
This was reported by Reuters, citing informed sources.
According to the publication’s interlocutors, the temporary halt in supplies last week could have been due to concerns about limited weapons stocks in US arsenals.
Despite this, shortly after the suspension, the administration of President Donald Trump resumed shipments of these important weapons to Kyiv.
However, officials did not specify the volume of the latest deliveries or whether the full batch was sent. It is also not known whether there are plans to resume deliveries of other types of weapons that were previously suspended.
It should be noted that the US has decided to resume military assistance to Ukraine , in particular, to provide a new batch of defensive weapons.
Recall that US President Donald Trump probably promised Volodymyr Zelensky to provide Patriot missiles to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
As reported, part of the American military aid to Ukraine, which was unexpectedly stopped at the beginning of the month, may be unblocked in the near future . According to sources familiar with the situation, the process may get underway after several diplomatic meetings, which are to take place in Italy and Ukraine.
By the way, the Kremlin stated that Donald Trump’s decision to resume arms supplies to Ukraine does not contribute to attempts at a peaceful settlement.
