Today, May 23, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk will hold a title fight against Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven in Giza. The broadcast of the fight in Ukraine will be available on the Kyivstar TV platform in PPV format.

The Usyk-Verhoeven fight will be one of the main fights of the first half of 2026. For the Ukrainian, it will be a defense of the WBC world heavyweight champion title.
The broadcast of the Usyk-Verkhoven fight in Ukraine will be available on the Kyivstar TV streaming platform. The main program of the boxing evening is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m.
The fight will take place in a specially built arena near the Giza Pyramids in Egypt. The estimated start time of the fight is 00:48 on Sunday, May 24, Kyiv time.
The organizers announced that viewing the fight will only be available after payment, as the broadcast will be in PPV format.
This fight will be Usyk’s sixth title defense. At the same time, it will be only the second boxing match in Verhoeven’s career. In October 2015, the Dutchman had his first boxing fight against Janos Finfer and won by knockout in the second round.
