Starting in October, utility tariffs for most Ukrainians will remain at the same level as the previous month. At the same time, there are several options to pay less – in particular, taking advantage of preferential tariffs for electric heating or a night meter.
This is reported by ICTV Facts.
Gas: 98% of Naftogaz customers will continue to pay UAH 7.96 per cubic meter until May 2026. The remaining suppliers’ annual prices range from UAH 7.79 to UAH 9.99 per cubic meter.
Electricity:
- until the end of October, the tariff for the population remains unchanged – 4.32 UAH/kWh;
- for consumers with electric heating, a benefit of 2.64 UAH/kWh (up to 2,000 kWh per month) will apply from October 1;
- night tariff with a two-zone meter — 2.16 UAH/kWh (23:00–07:00).
Water: no tariff increase is expected, payments in October will be the same as in September, although regional changes are possible.
Also, a number of categories of Ukrainians (people with disabilities, veterans, pensioners in villages, and others) can receive discounts from 25% to 100%.
We remind you that Ukraine has a moratorium on increasing tariffs for gas distribution, centralized heating, and hot water for the duration of martial law and for another six months after its end.
It was previously reported that tariffs for electricity, gas, heating and hot water supply in Ukraine will remain at the current level until the end of 2025. However, their gradual increase is expected from next year.
Meanwhile, the heating season will start in Kyiv on Friday, October 3. First of all, hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other social facilities will receive heat.
