VAZ collided with a truck in Vinnytsia region: two young children died

A fatal road accident occurred in the Haisyn district of Vinnytsia region, killing two young children. The accident occurred on the evening of September 21 near the village of Vyscha-Kropivna.

This was reported by the Vinnytsia region police.

According to preliminary data, a VAZ car and a MAN truck with a semi-trailer collided.

Two children in the VAZ died on the spot as a result of the accident. They were 9 months and 4 years old.

Three other people were injured. They included a 35-year-old driver of the car, a 42-year-old woman, and a 10-year-old boy. All of the injured were hospitalized.

Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the accident. This is a violation of road safety rules, which caused the death of several people. The sanction of the article provides for up to 10 years of imprisonment.

Law enforcement officers are currently establishing all the circumstances of the accident. The necessary examinations have been scheduled.

As a reminder, the Odessa Regional CCC and the Joint Police commented on the incident in the Podilskyi district, where on August 3 , an incident occurred with the participation of servicemen of the district CCC and a child , the circumstances of which are currently being established by law enforcement officers.

By the way, the Verkhovna Rada did not support draft law No. 15348 on increasing fines for speeding and other changes in driver liability . The document received 225 votes out of the required 226. An alternative draft law No. 15348-1 also failed.
