Vinnytsia suffered a massive drone strike: extensive destruction and many injured

On the night of Wednesday, July 16, Vinnytsia was subjected to a massive attack by enemy drones. The strikes damaged several civilian infrastructure facilities, as well as residential buildings in the region’s communities.

This was reported by the first deputy head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, Natalia Zabolotna.

“Several hits on civilian industrial infrastructure facilities have been recorded in the city. Rescuers are working to put out the fires,” she said.

Eight people were injured in the attack, all of whom have been hospitalized and are receiving medical care.

Damage to residential buildings was also recorded in some communities of Vinnytsia region.

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morgunov confirmed the information about the victims.

“There are currently 8 wounded people in hospitals,” he wrote.

The fire at a civil infrastructure enterprise hit by a drone is still being extinguished.

At the same time, after the enemy attack, air quality in Vinnytsia significantly deteriorated, according to the Vinnytsia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.

Residents of the city and suburbs are advised to keep windows closed and limit their time outdoors if possible. The center’s specialists are already conducting air surveys and will provide additional data soon.

“We ask you to maintain informational silence and wait for official reports about the locations of the attacks,” the OCCPH emphasized.

As a reminder, on the night of Wednesday, July 16, Kryvyi Rih came under a massive attack from Russia. The occupiers launched a combined attack using a ballistic missile and 28 Shahed attack drones.

As reported, two women were hit by a Russian drone in the Dnipro district of Kherson.
