Waiting for the landing: Russians are actively mining the Crimean coast

Russian troops in occupied Crimea are building fortifications and mining beaches around the clock. The invaders are terrified of a Ukrainian marine landing, although there are currently no real resources for such a large-scale operation.

Military journalist Vladislav Seleznyov reported this in a comment to “Pryamoy”.

“The enemy is actually preparing to repel the Ukrainian naval landing. Well, it seems that they are reasoning with the logic of the first Crimean company of 1853-1856,” the studio guest noted.

Seleznyov stressed that the coastal zones in the areas of Yevpatoria, Sak, and Mykolaivka are abundantly covered with “dragon teeth”, barbed wire, and a network of trenches and dugouts. However, he considers it unlikely that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will conduct an amphibious operation in the near future due to the lack of technical capabilities, as well as given the previous difficult experience of fighting in the Krynyki area on the left bank of the Dnieper.

At the same time, such actions of the occupiers play into Ukraine’s hands. The Russian army is forced to spend enormous material and human resources on building defensive structures on the beaches instead of strengthening its positions on other front lines, for example, in the Zaporizhia region, – military journalist Vladislav Seleznyov is convinced.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian military is systematically cutting off the occupied Crimea from communication , which is provoking a serious crisis in the supply of fuel and food. Due to logistical problems, strict restrictions have been introduced on the peninsula, the transport arteries of the occupiers have been threatened, and the only vulnerable corridor remains the Kerch Bridge.

It was previously reported that the main route by which the Russian army transfers equipment and cargo to occupied Crimea and southern regions of Ukraine has effectively become a “road of death” due to constant attacks by Ukrainian drones. In recent weeks, the volume of transportation along this route has sharply decreased.

At the same time, the Chongarsky bridge in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region suffered critical damage after the strikes and is now completely unusable for traffic . After the loss of this route, the Russian troops began to look for alternative supply routes, in particular, they reoriented logistics through Armyansk. However, the Ukrainian military tracked these changes and launched strikes along the new routes.
