Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian Ambassador to Britain Valeriy Zaluzhny said that Russia’s war against Ukraine could last until 2034.
He stated this during an interview with LB.ua.
Zaluzhny stated that Ukraine has entered a new phase of the war, and if the authorities do not take care of long-term defense, the armed confrontation could drag on for another decade.
“If Ukraine does not change its defense strategy and approaches to resource mobilization, the war could last until 2034,” he said.
Zaluzhny also added that the Russian occupation army has also changed its approaches to conducting combat warfare, using tactics to bleed the Ukrainian military and civilian population.
“On the front line now there are positions created not for a breakthrough, but for destruction,” the former commander-in-chief said.
It is worth noting that Valeriy Zaluzhny previously stated that the war with Russia has entered a new phase — a competition not for territory, but for the destruction of the nation’s ability to resist .
It was previously reported that the International Monetary Fund expects that hostilities in Ukraine could end by the end of 2025 .
