Warming or cold surprises: weather forecast for March

March 2026 in Ukraine will be mostly moderate and close to the climate norm.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to weather forecasters, the average monthly temperature is expected to be within +1…+7°, which corresponds to the climatic norm.
“In the western, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Odessa regions, the temperature may be 1.5–2.5° higher than normal,” forecasters report.
Monthly precipitation is forecast at 30–53 mm. In mountainous areas of Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions, as well as in Crimea, 60–98 mm is expected in places.
“This is within the normal range — 80–100%,” experts specify.
Forecasters note that in March, ice is still observed, wet snow is accumulating, strong winds are noted, and thunderstorms are beginning.
