Was looking for information about the terrorist attack and the murder of a police officer: a 15-year-old Ukrainian was detained in Poland

In Warsaw, police have detained a 15-year-old Ukrainian citizen suspected of preparing to commit murder. According to Polish law enforcement, the teenager was searching the Internet for information about a possible terrorist attack in a shopping mall and ways to take the life of a police officer.

This was reported by the Polish police and the spokeswoman for the Ministry of the Interior and Administration of Poland, Karolina Galecka, RMF24 reports.

Law enforcement officers drew attention to the boy’s online activity and began to identify the author of the search queries. The investigation involved the juvenile affairs unit, the department for combating terrorist acts and murders of the metropolitan police, as well as experts from the forensic laboratory.

As a result, the police established the identity of the teenager and his place of residence. During the search, a laptop and a phone were seized from him. The equipment was handed over to specialists for computer-technical research and preservation of data that may be relevant to the case.

The Polish police noted that based on the materials already collected, the actions of the minor were classified as preparation for murder.

After the arrest, the boy was taken to the Warsaw-Żoliborz District Court, to the VI Department for Family and Juvenile Affairs.

The court ordered the 15-year-old Ukrainian to be placed in a youth correctional center for three months. The final decision on further measures in his case will be made by the family court.
