As of 7:00 p.m. on October 10, water supply has been fully restored in all districts of the capital. Electricity has also been partially restored, and 678,000 homes already have it.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and was also confirmed by the Kyiv City State Administration and the Ministry of Energy .
Svyrydenko emphasized that the water supply in the capital has been fully restored.
“As of 7:00 p.m., water supply has been fully restored in all districts of Kyiv,” her post says.
As noted by the Ministry of Energy, energy workers managed to repair some of the equipment damaged as a result of massive rocket fire at night.
“Energy workers managed to restore part of the equipment damaged during the night attack. Thanks to this, the process of powering consumers on the Left Bank of Kyiv continues,” the department said.
At the same time, forced emergency shutdowns remain in a number of regions. In particular, they continue in certain areas of Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. In Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, shutdown schedules are in effect for industrial enterprises. In Chernihiv region, hourly schedules continue to operate.
In the Donetsk region, emergency outage schedules have been canceled for now. In the capital, work to restore power supply is ongoing. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, power was restored to 466,000 consumers as of this morning alone.
Meanwhile, DTEK Kyiv Electric Networks reported that electricity had been restored to over 80,000 families (as of 7:00 p.m.).
“Since the beginning of the restoration, light has appeared in almost 678 thousand homes of Kyiv residents,” the report says.
Earlier it was reported that after a massive night strike, a significant part of Kyiv was left without electricity. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko assured that restoration work had already begun and the power would be restored soon. Later it became known that the power had been restored for 270 thousand subscribers in Kyiv . Emergency power outages were canceled in a number of cities.
As a reminder, as a result of the night strike on Kyiv, serious damage was recorded to critical infrastructure and residential buildings . Part of the capital was left without electricity and water, and the number of civilian casualties reached 12 people.
