Students and staff are being evacuated from educational institutions in Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk after reports of a possible mine. Law enforcement officers are verifying the information.

This is reported by local media.

In Lviv, reports have been received about possible mining of Lyceums No. 18 and No. 66. Law enforcement officers and explosives technicians are expected to be on site to inspect the premises.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, this concerns, in particular, lyceums No. 18 and No. 6. Svitlana Malanyuk, a police spokeswoman in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, confirmed to Suspilny that law enforcement officers are checking information about the possible mining of a number of educational institutions.

Children and workers were evacuated from the buildings during the inspections. There is currently no information about the discovery of explosives or injuries.

Law enforcement officers must determine the origin of these messages. Students and employees will not be returned to educational institutions until the checks are completed.

In particular, similar mass reports of alleged mining of educational institutions and other facilities were already received in Ukraine in 2026. In particular, on March 30, the police of Ivano-Frankivsk region reported more than 40 such appeals regarding state institutions, educational institutions, enterprises and other facilities of the region. Law enforcement officers noted that these reports could be part of an information attack, while they checked each address.
