Currently, not everyone understands that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not just a crowd of armed young men and women grouped into a certain organizational structure. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are much more.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine is an institution on whose activities, without exaggeration, the future of Ukraine depends. Because right now, an external enemy is trying to destroy Ukraine, and the only thing standing in its way is the brigades and corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

But that’s not all. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are also the future of Ukraine. The war will end and yesterday’s front-line soldiers will return to business and state authorities. They will directly decide the future fate of the country. And given that the war (unfortunately) will not end with a complete defeat and surrender of the occupier, Ukraine will live in conditions of constant readiness for war for decades to come. Therefore, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will have significant influence in the state system.

And the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not only those who are in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Armed Forces are like the Cossacks-Zaporozhets, they are everyone who is in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, everyone who was in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and everyone who will be in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as soon as the trumpets sound.

And more. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already turned into a social subculture. Even now, a front-line soldier in civilian clothes (even a bespectacled nerd) can be easily distinguished by specific slang: “Plus”, “4.5.0”, “minus, repeat”, “that’s right”. And so on. The war will end, but the ties between people will remain.

The people who stormed the landing, who covered them with artillery fire, who reinforced them with tanks, who adjusted their fire from the sky with UAVs, who arranged all this on Delta and Kropyva so that decisions could be made quickly, who established communication and brought in ammunition, and all this under heavy enemy fire and drones – such people will always have something to talk about. Such common memories bring people together and connect them.

Don’t forget this.

The phrases “was” and “was” will become a password for such people. And this will definitely manifest itself in post-war life. Those who were will be perceived as relatives.

We were all bandaged by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the State Police of Ukraine, etc.

Happy Armed Forces Day. Congratulations to those involved. The Armed Forces of Ukraine is forever.
