Ukrainian Forces Liberate Six Settlements in Donetsk Amid Frontline Advances

This was reported by the press service of the General Staff.

Between August 4 and 17, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard managed to liberate the villages of Gruzke, Rubizhne, Novovodyane, Petrivka, Vesele, and Zolotyi Kolodiaz near Dobropillia.

As a result of active operations, the Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses on the enemy, including 984 irrecoverable casualties, 355 wounded, and 37 captured.

In addition, during this period, 11 Russian tanks, 8 armored combat vehicles, 112 automobiles and motorcycles, one MLRS, 22 artillery pieces, and 106 drones of various types were destroyed or damaged.

Currently, the Defense Forces continue stabilization operations in the Dobropillia direction.

Furthermore, over the past day, Ukrainian defenders have advanced in several locations and consolidated their positions.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian military had pushed back the Russian occupiers, who had recently advanced near Dobropillya in the Pokrovske direction.

As is known, the Russian occupation forces have accumulated a large number of personnel in three cities in the Donetsk region — Pokrovsk, Dobropillya, and Kostyantynivka.

By the way, on August 15, the press service of the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that the military had cleared Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups that had infiltrated the city in July.
