US President Donald Trump said that the United States no longer needs the help of allies for the operation to restore shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

He wrote about this on the social network Truth Social.

The United States has received refusals from NATO member countries to participate in a military operation in the Middle East.

This outraged Trump, and he emphasized that he was not surprised by the allies’ reaction, as he had always considered NATO a structure that was not ready to help the United States.

According to Trump, the American military has allegedly already achieved significant success by destroying Iran’s army, navy, air force, air defenses, as well as the country’s leaders, so Washington does not need NATO’s help.

“We never needed it! The same goes for Japan, Australia, or South Korea. In fact, I say this as the president of the United States of America, arguably the most powerful country in the world, we don’t need help from anyone,” the post reads.

Recall, on February 28, US President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States had launched a military campaign in Iran.

The United States is reportedly preparing to begin naval escorts of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz amid escalating tensions with Iran , a move aimed at protecting global oil supplies through one of the world’s key shipping lanes.

By the way, the Trump administration has rejected attempts by allies in the Middle East to start diplomatic talks on a ceasefire in the war with Iran. The White House said that Washington is currently focused on continuing the military operation.
