US President Donald Trump said it would be clear in the next two weeks whether peace can be achieved in Ukraine. If that doesn’t happen, he warned of the possibility of finding “another approach” to resolving the war.

He said this in an interview with Todd Starnes.

Trump outlined a new timeline for ending the war in Ukraine and emphasized that the next two weeks will be decisive in achieving peace.

“I’ll tell you in about, let’s say, two weeks we’ll know for sure whether we can make peace. After that, we may have to change our approach… It’ll all become clear soon,” Trump said.

He stressed that the current diplomatic efforts are at a critical stage and the US is closely monitoring progress in the negotiations. At the same time, Trump made it clear that Washington is ready to consider other options if there is no progress during this time.

Separately, the American leader mentioned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, noting his appearance during a meeting at the White House on August 18. According to Trump, the Ukrainian president’s black suit was a “sign of respect” for the United States, which provides large-scale support to Kyiv.

By the way, Russia has put forward new conditions for a possible end to the war against Ukraine : the Kremlin demands the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Donbas, refusal to join NATO, and a ban on the deployment of Western troops on the territory of the country.

Recall that US President Donald Trump wants Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to first hold a personal meeting . Only after that is he ready to join the trilateral format of negotiations.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that as a result of a peace agreement with Russia, Ukraine could regain control of a significant part of its territories and restore peaceful life . At the same time, he emphasized that joining NATO and returning Crimea are unrealistic, and American troops will not participate in security guarantees for Ukraine.
