“We see certain problems”: NABU commented on the tracking of funds related to defense procurement

NABU Director Semen Kryvonis stated about problems with tracking funds related to defense procurement.
He said this during a meeting of the parliamentary temporary investigative commission on economic security.
According to him, anti-corruption authorities have only released part of the “Mindich tapes.” All the circumstances of the crime are currently being established.
“We are already seeing certain problems with tracking funds related to defense procurement. These problems have existed for quite a long time – since February 2025 – as soon as we began to actively work in the defense direction,” the official said.
He emphasized that, when interacting with the financial monitoring service, it is necessary to send requests for international legal assistance.
In addition, he emphasized the need for a number of examinations and interaction with the National Bank.

As is known, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector . According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization were established, which controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures.
It is worth noting that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported suspicions against 7 individuals involved in a large-scale corruption scheme at JSC NNEGC Energoatom.
Previously, journalists from “Schemes” identified the names of individuals whom NABU detectives reported suspicious to as part of an investigation into corruption in the energy sector, including Timur Mindich.
By the way, Zelenskyy imposed NSDC sanctions against the co-owner of Kvartal-95 Timur Mindich and businessman Oleksandr Zukerman , who are linked to a corruption case in the energy sector.
