“We see each other more often at the front than in the rear”: the commander of the “Seraphim” unit thanked Poroshenko for the fiber-optic drones

The fifth President and current People’s Deputy of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, during a trip to Chernivtsi, told about the combat stories of two Sergiys – Kostynsky and Kozak. The former currently commands a very effective unit called “Seraphim”.

“You know Serhiy Kostynskyi very well. Our party member and my comrade. One of those people who gathered at Lavrskyi on the morning of February 24 with a clear awareness that Russia must be driven out of Ukraine. At first there was the 206th battalion of the Ukrainian Revolutionary Army, and then the combat path led along other paths. Today, Serhiy is the commander of the “Seraphims” – a unit that sent more than one hundred occupiers to Kobzon’s concert. We are in constant contact with them, we know all the requests and promptly close them,” Poroshenko noted.

Serhiy Kostynskyi thanked the fifth President for the fiber-optic drones that are being brought to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Thanks to the new drones, our combat efficiency has increased to 70%. Thank you also for the fact that we cross paths more often at the front than in the rear,” said Kostynsky.

Another brother is Serhiy Kozak, People’s Hero of Ukraine.

“We met back in 2014 in the ATO zone. At that time, none of us had any idea that the next meeting would be in a military hospital. During one of the battles, Serhiy led a column of armored personnel carriers that were ambushed by militants. The first blow fell on the armored vehicle in which Serhiy was. He and his comrades began to return fire. When he felt pain in his leg, he saw that it was seriously injured. The battle ended, and Serhiy was brought to the Izyum hospital, where the doctor decided not to amputate his leg. Thanks to the medical team, Serhiy Kozak returned to service after a year and a half,” Poroshenko said.

As is known, despite the massive nighttime missile and drone attack on Kyiv, Poroshenko’s team arrived in Chernivtsi, where it planned to transfer a batch of equipment to one of the military units stationed in the regional center. However, as the fifth President reported, military counterintelligence forbade accepting help from Poroshenko . His meeting with the military was canceled, and they themselves were urgently sent to the East.

Poroshenko is convinced: now the country must direct all resources to one goal – ensuring the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“If we want peace, we must be strong. For this, we need to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Those who are in the rear should transfer the economy to military rails and not spend money on anything else. Until we win the war, every penny goes to the Armed Forces,” the opposition leader emphasized.
