We want to surprise the enemy: Poroshenko spoke about the progress of the MSPO 2026 exhibition, where the Ai-Petri PGTR complex was shown for the first time.
Petro Poroshenko, who is in Kielce, Poland, attending MSPO 2026, the largest security and defense technology exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe, spoke about the second day of the exhibition.
According to him, for the first time since its development, the Ai-Petri counter-technical reconnaissance system, which the Poroshenko Foundation actively supplies to the military, will be on display at the exhibition.
“Ukraine has a very strong presence at this exhibition, offering comprehensive security solutions for countries in the region. And I’m very pleased that Ai-Petri is now one of the central pieces of our exhibit. This is Ai-Petri’s first public appearance. For two years, it was completely hidden, even its exterior. We’ve now found technical solutions to ensure the security of the company’s intellectual property and protect the use of Ai-Petri by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in the Middle East, and elsewhere,” Poroshenko said.

“This is a demonstration of how we must be two steps, or at least two months, ahead of the Russian occupiers. This is how we create the Shahed missiles, this is how we divert them from their ultimate target, this is how we counteract, among other things, electric Shahed missiles, including guided aerial bombs. And the fact that a queue has formed to receive information from partners, embassy representatives, and representatives of the armed forces – this is very important to us,” Poroshenko said.

“I would like to thank our Armed Forces, thank the team that is currently working so effectively to be smarter and more effective than the Russian armed forces. I hope we will return with a huge number of partners,” the fifth President noted.

“Another point we had the opportunity to discuss at the exhibition today was negotiations on the possible supply to Ukraine of—I won’t reveal the secret yet—aircraft capable of effectively countering Shahed jets. This includes supplying missiles that are competitive in price, competitive in speed (over 700 kilometers per hour), and competitive in operational altitude. And by combining them with the Ai-Petri system, the radar system, and the software, we will, I hope, be able to surprise the Russians,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized.

Since the fall of 2023, Petro Poroshenko has invested over 200 million hryvnias in the production of unique Ai-Petri SV countermeasure systems, which have successfully passed trials and are used by the Armed Forces, covering a thousand kilometers of combat contact. For a long time, the state had not allocated funding for this program. Last year, Poroshenko announced a contract with the Ministry of Defense .
