“We will react accordingly”: what the Chinese Foreign Ministry said about the detention of spies in Ukraine

China is studying the situation with the detention of two citizens in Ukraine, who were accused of espionage.

This was stated at a briefing by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning.

When asked by journalists how China would react to the detention of its citizens in Ukraine, Mao Ning replied that the information about this was still being verified.

She also added that if it is confirmed that Chinese citizens have indeed been detained, the Chinese authorities will protect their legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law.

Earlier it became known that in Kyiv the Security Service of Ukraine detained Chinese spies who were collecting secret documents about the Ukrainian Neptune missile .
