Hungary has no plans to arrest Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) when he arrives in Budapest to meet with US President Donald Trump.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said this during a conversation with journalists, as quoted by “European Truth”.
He stressed that Hungary will provide all necessary conditions for both Putin and Trump to hold the meeting in safe and calm conditions.
According to him, Hungary is supposedly the safest country in Europe and one of the safest countries in the world.
In addition, Szijjártó assured that Budapest would ensure conditions for Putin’s entry and exit from the country.
“We will respectfully meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, receive him as a guest, and provide conditions for his negotiations with the American president,” the minister added.
Recall, Donald Trump intends to meet with the head of the Kremlin in Hungary in order to put an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
As is known, preparations are underway in Budapest for a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
By the way, the current EU sanctions do not contain a ban on the entry of Putin and Lavrov , so this does not prevent a possible meeting between the Kremlin leader and Donald Trump in Budapest.
