Weapons, hammers, firecrackers and alcohol: the government has approved a list of items that are prohibited from being brought to school

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a list of objects and substances that are prohibited from being brought onto the territory and premises of educational institutions. If such items are found, students or employees will be temporarily not allowed to attend classes until the violations are eliminated.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
According to the new government order, it is prohibited to bring to school:
- weapons and ammunition;
- cold weapons, firearms and pneumatic weapons, as well as their imitations, including toys;
- pyrotechnic products;
- gas cans;
- stun guns;
- handcuffs.
It is also forbidden to carry tools (hammers, screwdrivers, drills, saws, gas burners) and flammable substances. At the same time, it is emphasized that the use and storage of:
- regular and electronic cigarettes;
- drugs and psychotropic substances;
- alcohol and energy drinks.
The Ministry of Education and Science noted that individuals found to have prohibited items will be temporarily suspended from classes. Return to the educational process will be possible only after the violation is eliminated, and the head of the institution or a person authorized by him must act in accordance with the rules of access and stay at school.
Recall that earlier, due to potential long power outages , the Ministry of Education and Science advised schools to consider postponing some classes to June 2026 , extending winter vacations, or switching to a six-day week.
