Well-known ecologist Volodymyr Boreyko died in a road accident near Kyiv

A well-known Ukrainian environmentalist, head of the Kyiv Ecological and Cultural Center (KECC), Volodymyr Boreyko, died in a car wreck near Kyiv.

This was reported by his wife, journalist Olga Musafirova.

“My husband, Volodymyr Boreyko, a well-known Ukrainian ecologist, died in a car accident near Kyiv. Our family will inform you about the time and place of burial later,” she wrote.

Musafirova did not specify the circumstances of the accident and asked to treat the situation with understanding and temporarily not call her.

Meanwhile, the Kyiv Oblast police reported that the accident occurred the day before near the village of Yakhny in the Myronivska community of the Obukhiv district. There, a Renault Kengoo passenger car and a Scania truck collided.

The 60-year-old driver and 67-year-old passenger of the car died at the scene as a result of the collision.
