What first-graders need for study: a list of necessary things

At the beginning of September, the first bell will ring in Ukrainian schools and the new academic year will begin.

This is an important event not only for first-graders, but also for their parents, who must mentally prepare their children for school, as well as gather the necessary things for school.

One of the most necessary things for a schoolchild is a backpack. It should be lightweight, anatomically shaped and have an orthopedic back, as well as several compartments – for notebooks, textbooks, a lunchbox, a phone, a wallet, keys, etc.

At the same time, it is necessary to prepare stationery in advance. In particular, first-graders will need notebooks with diagonal lines and squares, covers, pencils, pens, erasers, a ruler, and a pencil case.

For creativity, schoolchildren need to purchase a drawing album, colored paper and cardboard, a set of colored pencils, paints, felt-tip pens, brushes, a water jar, glue, and scissors with safe ends.

It’s also worth remembering about clothing. In addition to everyday uniforms — for girls, a jacket, skirt or shorts, and a blouse, and for boys, a jacket, shirt, and shorts — you need to buy a tracksuit and sneakers or trainers in which the child will do physical education.

Also, don’t forget about additional items such as a lunch box, water bottle, dry and wet wipes, and hand sanitizer, because they will definitely come in handy at school.

You need to understand that these things are not a whim, but a necessity that will not only simplify the learning process, but also make it enjoyable.
