The weather in Ukraine in May 2026, according to preliminary estimates, will be within the climatic norm, despite rumors of a sharp cooling.
This was reported by the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.
Forecasters note that the information about a cold and rainy May is not true. At the same time, it is still too early to make final forecasts.
According to preliminary calculations, the average monthly temperature will be 12-15°, which is approximately 1.5° below normal.
Experts explain that this indicator takes into account both daytime and nighttime temperatures, so during the day the air will warm up much more than +15°.
As for precipitation, 35-76 mm is expected in May, and up to 88-138 mm in the western and mountainous regions. This corresponds to typical values for this period.
Forecasters emphasize that May will not be abnormally cold, but it will not be the warmest either.
