What’s the electricity situation in Ukraine? The power company’s response.

In Ukraine, on the morning of September 24, electricity consumption was 3.6% higher than the previous day.

As reported by Ukrenergo , electricity consumption has increased.

“Today, September 24, as of 9:30 a.m., it was 3.6% higher than the previous day, Tuesday. The reason for this change is cloudy weather in the western, northern, and central regions,” the statement said.

Ukrenergo explained that this weather change leads to low efficiency of residential solar power plants and a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the grid.

It was also reported that a drone attack on power facilities overnight left customers in one region without power as of Wednesday morning. Regional power company specialists began emergency restoration work as soon as the security situation allowed. Power restoration efforts are currently underway.

Ukrenergo reminds that the power grid continues to recover from the massive Russian attacks. Emergency restoration work at power facilities is ongoing.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers is not currently considering raising electricity tariffs for the population .
