When will the full heating season begin in Ukraine: the response of the Ministry of Energy

Despite the difficult circumstances, the full heating season in Ukraine will begin in the coming days. Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grinchuk assured that the government will not allow any delays in its start.

During a joint briefing with German Minister of Economics and Energy Katerina Reiche, Svitlana Grinchuk stated that in many regions of the country the heating season for social and critical infrastructure facilities has already begun. At the same time, decisions on the full launch of heating in communities will be made locally, taking into account the average daily temperature.

“For social infrastructure, for social facilities, the heating season has already begun in many regions, in particular for critical infrastructure facilities. Further, each region, depending on the average daily temperature, will make a decision on the start of the heating season. There will definitely be no delays from the government,” the minister noted.

She emphasized that the government is constantly coordinating actions with local authorities to ensure timely connection of heating in residential buildings and social institutions.

Grinchuk also reported that a significant drop in temperature is expected in the coming days, so most regions will decide to turn on heat in their communities.

It was previously reported that in Ukraine, the heating system is expected to be operational in all settlements of the country within the next ten days . At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the resolution on the heating season , updating the dates of its beginning and end.

Recall that Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that this year the capital is facing the most difficult heating season in all the years of the full-scale war .
