When Will the War End? Budanov Finally Gives a Timeline

The head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, says a real window of opportunity to end the war will open in the winter of 2026.

He spoke about this in an interview with Channel 24.

Budanov said that both sides will move closer to this point in the coming months.

“Our window of opportunity will reopen in mid-February. All the key events will unfold in early to mid-February,” he noted.

He added that for the Russian-Ukrainian war to end, several factors in Ukraine, Russia, Europe, and the United States must align.

Previously, Kyrylo Budanov stated that a ceasefire on the Ukrainian-Russian front should be achieved in 2025.

By the way, during the preparation of draft options for financial assistance to Ukraine, the European Commission noted that the war should end by next year.
