Ukraine is currently experiencing a dire energy supply situation in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Odessa regions.
First Deputy Minister of Energy Artem Nekrasov announced this on television.
“In the Chernihiv region, the enemy has again attacked several power facilities, leaving approximately 140,000 consumers without power. The work is being complicated by continuous attacks by Russian drones,” the statement said.
He noted that during today’s attack, the Russians targeted both power generation and distribution and transmission facilities in several regions. As a result of the damage, a significant portion of Ukrainian residents were left without power.
Restoration work is currently underway.
As a reminder, in order to reconnect consumers who had been without power for a long time, Ukrenergo introduced hourly outage schedules in regions where emergency outages had previously been implemented, namely Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Dnipropetrovsk.
