On New Year’s Eve, December 31, measures to limit electricity consumption will be applied in most regions of Ukraine.
Ukrenergo warned about this .
In particular, hourly power outage schedules will apply to residential consumers, and power restrictions will apply to industry and business.
This is due to the consequences of missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities by the Russian army.
The company’s press service emphasized that the situation in the power system may change during the day, so consumers should follow the updates on the regional energy companies’ pages.
“When electricity appears on schedule, please consume it sparingly!” Ukrenergo urged.
It was previously reported that on the night of December 31 to January 1 , the usual hourly power outage schedules will most likely apply , and the possibility of easing will depend on several factors.
As a reminder, the situation with electricity supply in a number of regions in Ukraine remains difficult . The greatest problems are currently being recorded in the controlled part of the Donetsk region and in front-line regions.
