While repelling a UAV attack, the Russians shot down their helicopter: the crew died

On the night of Wednesday, March 4, in the Russian Federation, air defense shot down a Russian military Mi-8 helicopter in the Dudki farm of the Rostov region.

This happened during the repelling of a drone attack. According to sources, three crew members were killed as a result of the air defense operation, but there were no civilian casualties.

After being shot down, the helicopter crashed into a farm barn in the Millerovsky district. One of the buildings there burned down.

This was confirmed by a military blogger close to the Russian Aerospace Forces. He informed that a state commission is working at the scene to establish the causes and circumstances of the crash.

“If the cause of the loss is friendly fire, this would be the second such incident in just the last few months and would mean that the current and previous command of the Aerospace Forces failed to resolve this problem,” the report says.

It is worth noting that the place where the helicopter crashed is located approximately 2.5 kilometers from the Millerovo military airfield.

Recall that on the night of February 17 , Ukrainian units, reducing the combat potential of the Russian army, shot down an enemy helicopter in temporarily occupied Crimea.
