Who can become the new head of the State Administrative Service: a candidate has appeared

The new head of the Main Intelligence Directorate may be Oleg Ivashchenko. He currently heads the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

This is reported by LB, citing sources familiar with the plans.

The position of head of the GUR became vacant after Kyrylo Budanov accepted the offer of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to head the Office of the President .

Oleg Ivashchenko has been heading the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine since March 2024. Prior to that, since 2015, he worked in the Main Intelligence Directorate, where he held the position of First Deputy Chief and was Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for Intelligence.

According to sources, Lieutenant General Ivashchenko served in Ukraine and abroad and has significant combat experience. It is currently unknown who could head the Foreign Intelligence Service if he is appointed to the GUR.

As previously reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with Kirill Budanov and offered him the position of head of the Office of the President.
