Associates of Andriy Parubiy, a people’s deputy and former Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, are convinced that his murder is the work of the Kremlin.

During the Orange Revolution, Parubiy became the commandant of the Ukrainian House, which was then one of the main centers of resistance. And in 2014, he actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity as the curator of “Self-Defense”.
After fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych fled Ukraine, Parubiy became Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. It was during his time that the decision to launch the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas was made.
In 2014, when Petro Poroshenko was elected President of Ukraine, Parubiy resigned from the National Security and Defense Council and joined Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s team — first as deputy, and later as speaker of the parliament.
After Volodymyr Zelenskyy was elected president, Parubiy ran for the Verkhovna Rada with the European Solidarity party.
And at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, he reduced his public activity and stood up for the country’s defense, joining the ranks of the Teroboronivtsi. According to Parubiy, at this time there can be only two parties in Ukraine: pro-Ukrainian and pro-Russian. He emphasized that he would do everything to belong to the second.
Therefore, the deputy’s associates are convinced that the root of the murder comes from the Russian Federation.
“In Ukraine, there are simply no people he could cross paths with. For Russia, Parubiy, despite his invisibility in the domestic political market, was a landmark figure,” the material notes.
Parubiy was an active supporter of the Ukrainian language and advocated for the restriction of Russian in Ukraine, and was involved in obtaining a tomos of autocephaly for the OCU – in particular, this allowed him to “cross the path” of the Kremlin.
