Who needs to reapply for a housing subsidy: explanation from the Pension Fund of Ukraine

The Pension Fund of Ukraine will determine the eligibility of households for housing subsidies until April 30, 2027. For most recipients, assistance will be assigned automatically, but certain categories of citizens will need to submit a new application.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded that the subsidy is assigned for two periods: the non-heating season – from May 1 to September 30, and the heating season – from October 1 to April 30.

Those who rent housing and pay their own utilities, have fewer actual residents than their registered number, live with internally displaced persons who have changed their place of residence, or are applying for a subsidy for liquefied gas, firewood, coal, or other heating fuel must submit an application themselves.

Furthermore, subsidy recipients are required to notify the Pension Fund within 30 calendar days of any changes that may affect their eligibility for assistance. This includes changes in family composition, financial status, or extended stays abroad.

You can submit an application in person at a Pension Fund service center, by mail, through the Pension Fund’s web portal or mobile app, at a Administrative Service Center (TSNAP), through authorized representatives of local authorities, or through the Action portal.
