Serhiy Lysak, who headed the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, will likely be appointed head of the Odessa City Military Administration.

This was reported in “Dumskaya” with reference to sources.

At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he had set new tasks for Lysak.

“I thanked Serhiy Lysak, head of the (Dnipropetrovsk – ed.) regional military administration, for his effective work in this area,” Zelenskyy noted.

He added that documents regarding this will appear soon.

What is known about Serhiy Lysak?

In 2014-2015 and 2017, he was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation, and after the full-scale Russian invasion, he participated in hostilities in the Zhytomyr region. In March 2022, he received the rank of Brigadier General.

Before the ATO, Lysak was an employee of the SBU, holding operational and management positions in various regions. In 2020, the official headed the SBU department in Zhytomyr region, and two years later he became the head of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

In February 2023, in accordance with the presidential decree, Lysak was appointed head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

We will remind, in response to the petition to create the Odessa MBA, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he had sent letters to Syrsky and Kiper with a request to take appropriate response measures if there are legal grounds.
