Earlier this week, on August 10-11, the Cyber Corps community attacked Wildberries’ digital infrastructure as part of an operation in Russian cyberspace. The attack disrupted remote customer service and payment infrastructure, and put additional strain on contact centers.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate.

According to GUR, despite the level of protection of the company’s infrastructure, the cyberattack caused large-scale disruptions in its work.

In particular, the main remote customer service channel was disrupted and the payment infrastructure was partially destabilized. There were also mass complaints about the inability to make financial payments.

“The cyber operation enhanced the effect of the kinetic attacks of the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Wildberries warehouses, causing further significant losses to the company, which fuels the aggressor’s economy, and therefore the criminal war against Ukraine,” the report said.

Intelligence officials said the company plays an important role in Russia’s logistics and financing of its war against Ukraine.

By the way, a series of attacks on the logistics facilities of the Russian marketplace Wildberries led to large-scale losses and jeopardized its usual business model . According to the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, at least 14 logistics hubs burned down in a few weeks, causing the company to lose more than 20% of its warehouse capacity.

Previously,Wildberries banned employees from bringing smartphones into warehouses . Employees were only allowed to use push-button phones without cameras.
