Will cesspools be installed in Troyeschyna: Kyivvodokanal made a statement

There are no plans to create cesspools in the Troyeshchyna neighborhood of the capital yet. Kyivvodokanal stated that there is no feasibility or real reason for this.

This is stated in the company’s statement.

As noted, yard sewer networks are located below the freezing level of the soil. In addition, wastewater has a positive temperature and is constantly moving. Therefore, Kyivvodokanal has ruled out the possibility of freezing networks.

“Also an important clarification that is often forgotten: pipes that go directly from the house to the first sewer well belong to intra-house systems. Their condition and maintenance are the responsibility of the balance holders of the houses, not Kyivvodokanal,” the company’s press service emphasized.

So far, no cases of pipes freezing have been recorded. According to the company, the sewage networks are operating stably and provide drainage even during the absence of power.

Kyivvodokanal urged residents not to panic and to trust information from official sources.

It was previously reported that in the event of sewer pipes freezing in the Troyeshchyna district of Kyiv, the authorities plan to install street toilets with pits .
