NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that despite Russia’s hostile moves, the Alliance countries will not reduce their support for Ukraine. On the contrary, according to him, Moscow’s actions are encouraging allies to increase assistance to Kyiv.

He stated this during a speech in the United Kingdom, where he arrived for a visit.

The NATO Secretary General also noted that Russia’s actions against Ukraine and the Alliance countries indicate, in his assessment, Moscow’s weakness and the failure of its attempts to achieve its goals in Ukraine.

“Together, we will do everything to strengthen our capabilities to defend the entire Alliance against any threat. NATO will not be intimidated by Russia’s campaign of hostile actions. Russia wants us to stop helping Ukraine. But this will only force us to do more for Ukraine. Russia’s actions are a sign of weakness and a symptom of Putin’s defeat in Ukraine. We will help Ukraine stay strong and peace will come,” Rutte said.

It was previously reported that on the night of Tuesday, September 15, NATO fighter jets destroyed a drone that violated Lithuanian airspace. The drone entered the country’s territory from the side of Belarus.
