Will predict enemy actions: the Ministry of Defense is developing a new AI platform for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is creating the SPECTR platform based on artificial intelligence, which should help headquarters analyze the combat situation and make decisions faster.

This was reported by the defense ministry.

The development is being carried out by the A1 Artificial Intelligence Center. The system will process data from the battlefield, identify certain patterns, and based on them, offer commanders possible options for action. The platform will also be able to predict the enemy’s likely moves.

SPECTR is planned to be used in conjunction with digital systems already in operation in the Defence Forces. The information obtained will be stored in a secure environment. The platform is currently being tested in several combat units.

The A1 Center began operations in March 2026 with the support of the British government. The Ministry of Defense notes that with the help of AI, they want to reduce the time for information processing and bureaucratic processes, as well as increase the efficiency of the use of weapons.

“This is part of a broader effort to enhance Ukrainian military weapons with artificial intelligence to make rapid, data-driven decisions, increase the efficiency of asset use, and reduce bureaucracy,” the Defense Ministry added.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian company SkyFall introduced a new P1-Sun Long drone-interceptor with artificial intelligence. It can independently detect air targets, capture them and destroy them, while the operator only controls the process.
