Will Ukraine be left without electricity: a disappointing forecast for the fall has appeared

The director of the energy company Yasno, Serhiy Kovalenko, reported that this fall, Ukrainians can expect new power outages due to Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

He wrote about this in X.

It is noted that after the nightly shelling of energy facilities, the situation remains tense and unpredictable. According to Kovalenko, there are currently no grounds for optimistic forecasts regarding the stable course of the heating season.

The head of Yasno reminded that the experience of previous years has shown that preparedness for emergencies helps to overcome difficulties more easily. He advised Ukrainians to follow simple rules:

• purchase or check the performance of power banks and flashlights;
• have an action plan in case of long outages;
• keep gadgets and power banks charged;
• ensure a supply of water and long-term storage products.

Kovalenko emphasized that every family should have its own action plan in case of a power outage. This will allow them to remain calm and feel more protected in difficult circumstances.

By the way, on the night of September 8 , Russian troops launched a massive attack on the energy infrastructure in the Kyiv region . One of the thermal generation facilities came under fire, which caused power outages in the region.

Recall that on the night of August 27, the Russians attacked power and gas infrastructure facilities in six regions of Ukraine. The Ministry of Energy called this massive attack a continuation of Russia’s deliberate policy of destroying Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure on the eve of the heating season.

It was previously reported that Ukraine has information about Russia preparing new attacks on the energy sector , in particular on nuclear energy facilities.
