Winter is coming: Bukovel ski resort covered in snow

The weather in the Carpathians has changed dramatically – the most famous ski resort in Ukraine, Bukovel, has been blanketed in snowfall. Webcams at the resort show the slopes covered in a white blanket, and the temperature has dropped to minus temperatures.

On social networks, users are actively sharing photos of snowy slopes and noting that this year winter came to the Carpathians earlier than usual.

As you know, Bukovel is located at the foot of the mountain of the same name near the village of Polyanytsia at an altitude of nine hundred and twenty meters above sea level. The highest point of the resort is Mount Dovga, which reaches one thousand three hundred and seventy-two meters.

It is worth adding that, according to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, frosts in the air to minus four degrees are expected on the night of October 20 and 21 in the western regions, as well as on the night of October 21 in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions. The danger level is orange.

In addition, strong wind gusts of fifteen to twenty meters per second are forecast in the western, Vinnytsia, and Odessa regions on October 19. In this case, a yellow danger level has been declared.

The State Emergency Service warns that such weather conditions may complicate the work of energy, construction and utility companies. Citizens are urged to be careful and avoid being under trees, advertising structures and power lines.
