Winter is returning: where will it snow in Ukraine?

Wet snow and frost are expected in Ukraine this week, and in some regions, snow cover of up to 10 centimeters is possible.

This is reported by UNIAN with reference to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center.

Head of the Meteorological Forecasting Department, Natalia Golenya, explained that cold air is lingering over the country, especially in the north.

According to her, frosts will be recorded again in the northern regions in the coming nights, in particular on April 22.

A small cyclone over the Carpathians is moving towards the Sea of Azov and is dragging cold air. Because of this, wet snow is possible in eastern Ukraine in the near future, and precipitation may begin in the Carpathians as early as the night of April 20.

Forecasters predict windy weather and a new wave of Arctic air between April 23 and 25. These days, precipitation in the form of wet snow is possible in the northern, central, and eastern regions, as well as in the Carpathians.

Snow will mostly fall at night, but it will sometimes also fall during the day at temperatures from +1 to +4 degrees.

According to preliminary calculations, in the east of the country, in particular in the Kramatorsk region, snow cover of up to 10 centimeters is possible, but this forecast is still being refined.
