Winter warmth: a new temperature maximum was recorded in Mykolaiv

The day before, on January 6, a new record was set in Mykolaiv — the absolute maximum air temperature was exceeded on this day.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology.

“Due to the passage of a warm front on January 6, the absolute maximum air temperature on that day was exceeded compared to long-term data (1945-2025 for Mykolaiv and 1986-2025 for weather stations in the Mykolaiv region), ” the report says.

In particular, in Mykolaiv, the air temperature reached +12.3°C. According to the center, the previous maximum for the city was recorded in 1982 — +10.7°C.

At the same time, in the Mykolaiv region in the Snihurivka area, on January 6, the air warmed up to +12.8°C, while the previous maximum was +10.6°C in 2022.

As you know, a southern cyclone will soon arrive in Ukraine , which will bring precipitation to almost the entire territory of the country and sharp temperature contrasts between regions.
