Amid the corruption scandal at Energoatom, talks between Trump’s special representative Steve Witkoff and the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, were canceled.

This was written by The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll.

It is known that the meeting between the officials was supposed to take place in Turkey on Wednesday, November 19.

“I was told that Witkoff may not have known about the scandal he was getting into when he agreed to the meeting,” Carroll wrote.

It was previously reported that Steve Witkoff will fly to Turkey on November 19 to participate in negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

We remind you that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector.

Later, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, also appears on the “Mindich tapes” released by NABU as part of the investigation into corruption in the energy sector.
