Woman who was hit by a prosecutor’s office worker in Kyiv dies in hospital

A woman who was hit by an employee of the Prosecutor General’s Office in Kyiv on July 20 died in hospital.

This was reported by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

“Yesterday, a tragedy occurred on Bolshaya Vasilkovskaya in Kyiv. A driver in a state of alcohol intoxication flew onto the sidewalk and hit a woman and tried to escape from the scene. This is Andrey Molochny, not a prosecutor, but an employee of the prosecutor’s office, a civil servant. Unfortunately, the victim died in the hospital. My sincere condolences to her family – my sincere condolences.”

According to him, Andrey Molochny has already been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of traffic rules while intoxicated, which led to the death of a person. The test result is 1.77 ppm.

“We will insist on the application of a preventive measure for a period of 60 days in the form of detention without setting the amount of bail. I personally supervise the progress of this case, as the senior prosecutor, starting with the selection of a preventive measure, and will support the charges in court,” the Prosecutor General added.

Let us recall that on July 20, in the Goloseevsky district of Kiev, a prosecutor’s office employee hit a woman in a pedestrian zone with a car and fled the scene.
