Working Group on Guarantees for Ukraine: It has become known who will lead it

Марко Рубіо,

US President Donald Trump and European leaders have agreed to create a special working group to prepare a draft security guarantees for Ukraine. This intergovernmental format will be led by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

According to insiders, the planned guarantees will cover four main areas:

— deployment of military units on the territory
— strengthening air defense systems
— ensuring the supply of modern weapons
— supervision of the ceasefire

At the same time, Washington is considering an option in which the United States could provide military support to European peacekeeping forces without sending its own troops directly to Ukraine.

White House representatives are refraining from official comments, and Marco Rubio’s press service refused to answer journalistic inquiries.

Recall that a group of over 30 states, including Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and France, is actively working on creating a concept of international security guarantees for Ukraine.

As reported, after the end of the war with Russia, Ukraine has the full right to form its own security system, including new international agreements with Western countries and beyond.
