Working in groups and agreeing positions: the second day of negotiations began in Abu Dhabi

Today, February 5, the second day of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and the Russian Federation began in the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian negotiating team, Rustem Umerov.

He noted that the format of the work remains unchanged: negotiators will work in teams and then synchronize positions.

“We are working in the same formats as yesterday: tripartite consultations, work in groups, and further synchronization of positions. Results will follow,” the message says.

It is worth noting that the day before, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the “list of unresolved issues” between Ukraine and the Russian side had significantly decreased.

However, according to him, there are also open questions to which the parties cannot find answers. He did not specify, but it is likely that this concerns territories and the ZNPP.

Let us remind you that the day before, the Ukrainian delegation arrived in Abu Dhabi to hold regular negotiations with Russia and the United States.

As reported, negotiations between delegations in the United Arab Emirates have the potential to be more successful than previously predicted.
